Associated Producers is an independent media production company, specializing in non-scripted content – historical and investigative in nature yet presented in style similar to feature films.
Our focus is on multi-episode documentary series that combine the investigative and informative elements of non-scripted documentaries, with the storytelling techniques of feature films. AP has produced “blue chip” specials and curated content for the leading broadcasters worldwide, collaborates with leading talent and we produce best-in-class content.
Producers
Simcha Jacobovici is a multi award-winning film director/producer and television host. He’s also a journalist and New York Times best selling author. For his filmmaking, he has won an unprecedented three US Emmys (1995, 1996, 2007) in “Outstanding Investigative Journalism”, a Certificate of Special Merit from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, a DuPont-Columbia Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism, two Edward R. Murrow Awards from the American Overseas Press Club and many others. In 2017, he was presented with the prestigious Gordon Sinclair Award from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
Ric Esther Bienstock is an Emmy Award-winning Canadian filmmaker best known for her groundbreaking investigative documentaries. Her films have screened at over 80 international festivals and have aired on networks in over 80 countries. In 2015, she was awarded the Gordon Sinclair Award for Broadcast Journalism from the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television for her body of work. This Award is presented to a Broadcast Journalist for an exceptional body of work and a significant contribution to the international profile of Canadian television journalism. Bienstock is the first female independent producer to receive this award.
